Left the car at  home and brought the Motorcycle? Why not take a trip around Lake Winnebago and check out the lighthouses? Are you feeling energetic? It is roughly 71 miles around Lake Winnebago to see all the lighthouses? It is mostly flat, but there are some short steep climbs around the 50 mile mark.  Not feeling so energetic? How about tackling a nice easy course through the Wiouwash trail? This trail has mostly flat terrain that runs through the Fox Valley and western shores of Lake Winnebago.  It starts just a few short blocks from the inn where it connects to a city trail where you can stop and see two of the city’s most famous attractions: the Oshkosh Public Museum, and the beautiful and exquisite gardens of the Paine Art Center. The  newly completed Trestle Trail that is about 1/3 mile long spans Little Lake Butte Des Morts between Menasha and Oshkosh. It is Lighted and decked with plastic planking.  A central pavilion allows you to pull over to enjoy the view or the breeze. At its western end, the Trestle Trail meets the Friendship Trail at Fritse Park in the Town of Menasha.  Currently it runs only west from Fritse Park eight miles to the Wiouwash Trail, although in the near future it will extend east to High Cliff State Park. The Wiouwash Trail runs north and south through quiet farm and marshland as you will probably view hawks circling  the skies above.

Spend the afternoon floating down the Fox River, Lake Winnebago and/or LakeButte de Morts.  Captain Scotty can drop you off, get you into the water, pick you up and bring you back to the inn.
